Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Certus Psychiatry in Winston-Salem, NC, as a compassionate and organized Patient Coordinator / Receptionist. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to patients with mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse concerns, collaborating closely with our psychiatrists and clinical staff in an outpatient setting. Your warm demeanor and administrative expertise will ensure a welcoming environment, optimize patient satisfaction, and support efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in person and over the phone, answering inquiries or directing them appropriately.

Schedule appointments in person or by phone to maximize patient satisfaction and treatment room utilization.

Verify patient information through interviews, reviewing and recording medical and medication histories, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of visits.

Complete patient records by documenting examinations, treatments, and test results.

Checking patients in and out.

Collecting copayments and other payments.

Managing prior authorizations and filing insurance paperwork.

Updating medical records and supporting documentation for orders.

Provide clerical support, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and assisting with projects assigned by the office manager.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or similar setting.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Ability to provide age-specific care for behavioral health populations.

Strong organizational skills and confidence to work independently.

Language: Fluency in Spanish preferred.
