Job summary

MedStar Radiology Network is seeking a Patient Coordinator I for a Full-Time Flex role at our outpatient imaging center in Bel Air, MD. You will be the frontline for patient coordination, welcoming patients, registering, and scheduling appointments while ensuring accuracy and courtesy in every interaction.

The position emphasizes teamwork within the Business Office, with opportunities for advancement and robust benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and of computer applications including MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and coordinate patients; registration and appointment scheduling.
  • Handle phone correspondence and patient communication.
  • Maintain medical records and inventory for the imaging center.
  • Supervise/train junior staff as part of career ladder in the Business Office.

Come and join our team as a Patient Coordinator I for a Full-Time Flex at our outpatient imaging center located in Bel Air, MD.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8 am - 430 pm
Weekend Requirement: 1 Saturday a month

The Business Office Team is responsible for collaborating and leading the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting the operational goals for both the Center and the organization. This includes all customer and patient-facing responsibilities including welcoming, registering, and overall patient coordination, as well as phone correspondence, scheduling appointments, inventory, and medical record management. The upper levels of this series also include the training, supervision, and management of Business Office team members. The overall scope for this series is designed to ensure the management and resources are available to maintain a quality, high functioning, and customer friendly Outpatient Imaging Center.

Requirements
EDUCATION:
  • To be competitive, must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office
