Job summary

Sabates Eye Centers seeks a Medical Receptionist (Patient Coordinator) to greet patients, verify insurances, and manage check-in/out processes. Travel to other Kansas City metro offices may be required with mileage reimbursement. Full benefits and PTO are offered, with a 8am–5pm weekday schedule and some Saturday rotation.

The role emphasizes customer service, basic computer skills, and a readiness to learn and grow within a medical office setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum required education: High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in/out for appointments.
• Verify medical and vision insurances and collect payments.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
• Support daily office duties and keep reception area organized.
