Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Littleton, CO is seeking a patient services role to support scheduling and patient intake across our outpatient radiology sites. The position involves front-desk duties, verifying demographics and insurance, and maintaining accurate records while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work under the Physician Support Manager, handle patient flow, and ensure smooth operations and a positive patient experience at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years of experience in the field or related area.

Responsibilities

• Schedules/re-schedules patient appointments at the appropriate facility and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains designated account folders and complies with departmental expectations.
• Collects and enters patient demographic and insurance information as needed.
• Communicates with referring offices and sales representatives.
• Ensures patients are cleared for diagnostic tests.
• Provides excellent customer service and supports the team.
• Adheres to policies and uses equipment safely.

Essential Functions

• Under the direct supervision of the Physician Support Manager
• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
• Schedules/re-schedules patient appointments at the appropriate facility and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains designated account folder following departmental expectations.
• Communicates regularly with assigned referring offices and appropriate sales representatives.
• Ensures patients have been cleared for specific diagnostic tests.
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information as needed.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Basic computer skills required. Has knowledge of insurance plans.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
• Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Physical Demands

• This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
