Job Overview

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist with direct and indirect patient care, including vital signs, rooming, and patient mobility.
  • Ensure patient safety by monitoring medical equipment and devices.
  • Accompany and assist patients during transport, tests, and transfers.
  • Report changes in patient condition to medical staff.
  • Complete documentation and communicate hand-offs effectively.
Shift Details

Shifts vary from 6:00AM – 6:30PM and 6:00PM – 6:30AM.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within three months of hire.
  • Completion of a hospital-based patient companion training program or equivalent experience, or enrollment in an accredited Nursing program with Fundamentals course completed.
  • Knowledge of basic patient care activities.
Physical & Safety Requirements
  • Ability to move and lift patients, with good dexterity and coordination.
  • Extensive standing and walking.
  • Physical exertion up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Follow standard precautions with personal protective equipment.
