Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy department in inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, and medication processing. You will assist with phone orders, refills, and medication delivery under the supervision of the pharmacist.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Indiana tech licensure or in-training, and certification within a year if enrolled in chemistry/pharmacy programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training or active license required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification within one year of hire if not enrolled in college.
• No criminal history related to drug work required.
• Must have strong math calculation skills.
• Ability to learn basic pharmacy tech skills under supervision.
• Ability to learn effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn customer service skills.
• Basic proficiency with typing and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy department in inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing medications and supplies.
• Assist with medication processing, including phone calls, refills, and order entry.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist check and for disbursement/shipment/delivery.
• Maintain records and assist with stocking, inventory, and supplies distribution.
• Assist in bulk compounding and IV solution preparation as needed.
