Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Kentucky seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting in the EMR, assisting with procedures, and helping providers maintain efficient patient flow.

You will promote patient-centered care, support front desk functions such as scheduling and collecting payor information, and ensure PHI is protected according to UH policies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
