Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required (AAMA/NCMA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in an outpatient physician practice preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong patient-service orientation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation; HIPAA compliance
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for appointments; escort to examination rooms
• Obtain and document vital signs, weight, chief complaint, and medical history
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Collect, label, and process specimens; perform routine lab tests
• Prepare medications and educate patients on treatments and follow-up care
• Maintain EMR documentation and ensure patient confidentiality
