Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and healthcare teams in a fast-paced clinic. The MA performs clinical and administrative tasks, prepares patients for exams, records vital signs, and assists during treatments with a focus on safety and patient experience.

You will handle front- and back-office duties, coordinate tests and follow-up care, and collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery across all ages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RCMA certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in the physician practice setting is preferred.
• Strong English reading/writing and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and assist physicians and APPs.
• Prepare rooms and equipment; assist during treatments.
• Record vital signs and patient information for visits.
• Coordinate tests and follow-up care with the care team.
• Handle check-in/check-out and other non-clinical tasks as needed.
