Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks an attentive clinical assistant to support a busy medical practice. You will manage patient messages, assist with examinations, and help maintain equipment and supplies.

The role includes fundamental vital sign documentation, basic procedures, and administrative duties. Under physician supervision, you will participate in patient assessments, ensure Telehealth readiness, and contribute to patient experience.

Qualifications

• Complexity of work requires critical thinking, effective communication and decisive action.
• No prior work experience required.
• Six (6) months of patient care experience can substitute for EMT/MA program.

Responsibilities

• Manage and facilitate all in-basket messages and patient calls.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, reorder, stock, clean/disinfect per protocol.
• Follow up on issues and assist with service recovery.
• Ensure Telehealth connectivity for scheduled appointments and troubleshoot.
• Under supervision, assist with patient assessments and treatments.
• Document patient vital signs and history where appropriate.
• Round with patients to ensure excellent patient experience.
• Review Social Determinants and provide education/resources as needed.
• Review charts to ensure imaging and information for appointments.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Handle administrative duties: scanning, scheduling, data entry, registration.
• Monitor patient condition and provide discharge instructions.
