Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, guests and staff across campus. This role requires vigilance, excellent communication, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents in a healthcare environment.

With a High School diploma and at least 1 year in security or related fields, you will hold certifications such as BLS, CPI, and a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Training includes on-boarding through the FTO program and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license in state of practice with clean DMV report.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and firearms training.
• IAHSS Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of FTO program within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all safety and security rules and policies on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
• Investigates accidents and incidents and reports findings promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration.
• Participates in emergency response and drills.
• Maintains annual certifications and training compliance.
• Interact with patients and staff respectfully and professionally.
