Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a security professional to safeguard patients, guests, and staff across hospital properties. The role emphasizes enforcing safety rules, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and participating in emergency drills with a focus on privacy and professional communication.

Required are a high school diploma, 1 year in security or related fields, BLS, a valid license, and CPI with firearms training.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military.
BLS from the American Heart Association.
Valid driver's license with clean DMV report.
CPI training and firearms training.
IAHSS Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire.
Employment contingent upon successful completion of FTO program within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Enforces all safety and security rules, regulations, and policies on company property.
Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
Investigates incidents and reports occurrences timely.
Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration.
Participates in emergency response and drills.
Maintains annual certifications and trainings on schedule.
Adapts communication to patient population and privacy requirements.
Other related duties as required.
