Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide Safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and the Patient Centered Care philosophy. The RN will offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while upholding Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s).
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• Current Texas nursing license.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Ongoing demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Assess risks to patient safety and implement precautions.
• Complies with organizational and accrediting standards.
• Follows patient-centered care delivery model in nursing care.
