Job summary

Raleigh Medical Group, PA is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join the Raleigh Adult Medicine clinical team in Raleigh, NC. This role supports physicians and the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care and a positive patient experience.

Candidates must have at least one year of Medical Assistant experience and may obtain certification within six months of hire. The role offers a full-time schedule with M-TH 8:00 AM-5:00 PM and F 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant or comparable clinical experience.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for examinations and office visits.
• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, diagnostic testing, treatments, and minor office procedures.
• Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform blood draws, finger sticks, injections, and other clinical tasks as trained.
• Collect biological samples and perform basic clinical and laboratory-related tasks as directed.
• Document patient care, medication information, test results, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, referrals, diagnostic testing, and patient follow-up as directed.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, testing instructions, and follow-up care.
