Job summary

The Wellstar Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced office setting in Georgia. You will handle front- and back-office tasks, gather vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist during treatments, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor or Practice/Office Manager, you will coordinate tests, follow-up care, and documentation in the medical record, while delivering patient-centered care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assisting certification preferred.
• Current BLS or equivalent certification required on hire.
• CMA/NRCMA/NCMA/CCMA certifications accepted.
• Minimum 1 year experience in physician practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered care aligned with cultural and population-specific needs.
• Gathers and records vital signs and patient information for visits.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists during treatments.
• Coordinates tests, follow-up care, and documents treatment in the medical record.
