Job summary

Martin's Point Health Care Inc. in Maine seeks a Clinical Support professional to assist care teams, manage patient flow, and prepare exam rooms.

The role supports providers with rooming, documentation, and coordination of patient care, including basic clinic testing and immunizations as per protocols. The candidate should have a high school diploma, a two-year Medical Assistant program or equivalent, and MA certification within six months of start date, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a two-year accredited Medical Assistant Program/associate’s degree preferred.
• Must hold a current MA certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT and retain active certification for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient-centered visit by ensuring proper screening, documentation, and testing.
• Ensures all consults and charts are scanned, downloaded and communicated for patient contact.
• Coordinates and manages provider’s desktop activity including lab result reporting, phone calls, order entry, and prescription processing.
• Performs direct patient care services in a patient-centered manner.
• Provides patient education in support of patient visit and ongoing care.
• Schedules patient appointments and prepares exam rooms and equipment for visits.
