Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current MA certification (AAMA/AMT/NHA or NCCT) and active status.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Related experience in a physician's office, medical setting or outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient-centered visit by ensuring proper screening, documentation, and/or testing has been completed.
• Coordinates and manages provider’s desktop activity including lab results, calls, orders, and outreach.
• Triages as directed by protocols and provides direct patient care per clinical protocols.
• Administers immunizations and injections where within scope and licensure.
• Prepares exam rooms and ensures equipment operability and supplies.
• Provides patient education and assists with orientation and training of new staff.
