• Transports patients safely to and from areas within the hospital when needed, using two patient identifiers and ensuring safety.

• Rounds on units to collect/transport specimens and to ensure timely delivery across departments.
• Demonstrates time and supply management, answers pages and returns calls promptly, and supports scheduling and supply changes.
• Documents patient care per unit standards and stays up to date on policies.
• Meets patient rights expectations and strives to improve patient satisfaction with care and service.
• Maintains a professional and quiet patient environment, adapts to assignments and communications with staff and physicians.
• Engages patients and families using effective communication and AIDET methodology.
