Overview

Patient Care Technician - Younker 8 Medical/Respiratory - Methodist

Full-Time or Part-Time, Nights or Days, with weekend and holiday rotation

Benefits Eligible with shift differential for qualifying shifts

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 for full-time offers

Younker 8 cares for a variety of acute care patients, specializing in respiratory diagnoses, diabetic ketoacidosis, and acute or chronic medical conditions. The unit partners with the Physician Internal Medicine Residency Program and is involved in many new patient care initiatives. Collaboration, teamwork, and innovation lead the team as we care for our acute patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and treatments under RN supervision, including activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection, and respiratory support.
• Lift, move, position, and transport patients as needed.
• Meet the department work schedule and demonstrate initiative to improve care quality, safety, and customer service.
• Under 18? You may not operate mechanical lift equipment independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• 75-hour Certified Nursing Aid certification preferred.
• Level 3 Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
