Patient Care Technician - Younker 5 Renal/Uro/Transplant

Shift: Days; Full Time and Part Time
Nights; Full Time and Part Time

Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Younker 5 is a 22 bed Renal, Transplant, and Urology unit specializing in medical surgical patients. We are Transplant Center Certified and take pride in being one of Central Iowa’s only Kidney Transplant Centers. Responsibilities:

  • PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under the supervision of an RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection, and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position, and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification preferred. Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess (75 hour, 120 hour, or 150 hour).
  • Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
