Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in examination and treatment under supervision from a physician or advanced practice clinician.

Responsibilities include checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting medical history, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, and navigating the EPIC EHR. Completion of Basic Life Support within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills to navigate databases with confidential information.
• BLS and other advanced training as appropriate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients under supervision of physician or APP.
• Check in patients and obtain vital signs (BP, HR, temp, weight, height, oximetry) and reconcile medications.
• Gather patient medical history information and expediente patient flow.
• Room and stock clinic with supplies; navigate the EPIC system.
• Perform other non-clinical duties as needed.
