Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC. in Odessa, TX is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist patients with bathing, eating, hygiene, bed linens, mobility, and gathering vital signs.

You will help prepare units and rooms for admissions and discharges, transport patients, document care, and support physicians and nursing staff with procedures within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience, preferably in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Nurse Aide certification preferred.
• Able to assist with hygiene, bathing, mobility and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care such as positioning patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with hygiene and mobility.
• Assist in preparation of units, patient rooms, supplies and beds for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Obtain admission height, weight, and vital signs.
• Assist with meals and documenting diet intake.
• Document patient care, intake/output, and weight changes accurately.
• Transport patients to and from departments as requested.
• Answer call lights and respond to patient needs; participate in care planning.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and adhere to safety protocols.
