Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System in Bel Air, MD seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under nursing supervision. You will take vital signs, assist with ADLs, collect specimens, and help with blood draws and IV access as needed.

You will collaborate with the care team, monitor patient status, document care activities, and support safety, comfort, and dignity of patients during shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Maryland CNA or GNA certification is required.
• No prior direct patient care experience is required; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws when indicated.
• Collect specimens and document care activities.
• Provide wound care and maintain skin integrity.
• Collaborate with health care team to implement the plan of care.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during shifts.
