Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx is seeking a healthcare assistant to support nursing staff and patient care teams on site. The role includes collecting specimens, performing basic lab tasks, phlebotomy and EKG training, and assisting with examinations under direct supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and BLS certification, with completion of phlebotomy and EKG training programs.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy and electrocardiography (EKG) training/certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Checks vital signs, weighs, and measures patients and records findings.
• Instructs patients on specimen collection for laboratory testing.
• Performs basic specimen screening and prepares specimens for transport.
• Performs vision and hearing screening and simple urinalysis.
• Assists in patient examination by providing necessary supplies and room preparation.
• Maintains patient charts and documents, and assists with referrals.
