Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring is seeking a focused Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a hospital setting. You will prepare rooms, welcome new admissions, assist with transfers, document vital signs, and maintain a safe patient environment. This role requires BLS, strong communication, compassion, and confidentiality, with preference for CNA experience and ED EKG exposure.

Full-time day shift in Sebring, FL. Pay range $15.73–$25.16 per hour; background screening as required by Florida law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• Certification options include CPCT/A, NCPCT, PCT-C, CNA or EMT.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• 2+ years lead EKG experience (Emergency Department) preferred.
• CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rooms for new admissions and orients patients to their rooms.
• Transfers patients between beds with assistance.
• Documents intake/outtake and vital signs per policy.
• Collects and labels specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintains patient records and unit census.
• Responds to patient needs and call lights.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living as ordered.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
