Job Description

Position Summary: Assists in providing patient care and treatment in accordance with the Division of Nursing Standards. Maintains a safe, clean environment, supports the patient care team with various activities, and ensures excellent customer service. The patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics, as defined by unit-specific standards.

Qualifications

• Education & Training: High School diploma or equivalent. Certified by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred. May require up to 3 weeks of orientation with a preceptor.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology; communicate effectively; follow directions; perform basic math; respond appropriately to emergencies; adapt to shift schedules; work collaboratively; manage time efficiently; adhere to OSHA standards; maintain patient confidentiality; foster a positive work environment.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $19.50/hr
