GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves providing direct patient care and assisting with unit coordination. The incumbent performs basic nursing procedures, supports patient comfort, and assists RNs with acutely ill patients. Responsibilities include practicing medical asepsis, respecting patient dignity and privacy, maintaining objectivity, adhering to hospital policies, responding to emergencies, maintaining the environment, and documenting care in electronic medical records. The position operates under the supervision of RNs, with specific work assignments from Charge Nurses or Care Team Leaders, and includes managing activities related to patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing and documenting patient care activities such as vital signs, mobility, specimen collection, and other treatments (30%)
• Participating in quality and safety initiatives like bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, fall prevention, and maintaining a clean environment (30%)
• Accurately documenting all care activities and reporting changes in patient conditions (20%)
• Assisting with unit activities such as supply management and equipment cleaning (20%)
• Performing additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:
