Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Telemetry Unit at Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. This part-time night-shift role involves 2-12 hour nursing-support blocks from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with self-scheduling and weekend/holiday coverage.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, 6 months healthcare experience, and a BLS certification. CNA/MA/EMT backgrounds are welcome. Weekend rotations and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of healthcare experience within the last year required.
• 6 months acute care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CNAs, MA, EMT experience accepted as alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other care data.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and care plan tasks.
• Answer questions from patients, families, and health care team.

Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver.
