As the unit continues to expand, it now features 39 single-occupancy beds across two care areas, including a newly expanded fourth-floor space licensed for full telemetry, with team members supporting both locations based on patient care needs. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their healthcare careers who are looking to gain valuable hands-on patient care experience in a fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates with hospital experience, Behavioral Health Technician backgrounds, or a passion for caring for diverse patient populations are encouraged to apply. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.* Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.* Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.* Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION* High School Diploma or GED **Required**EXPERIENCE* Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year **Required*** 6 months in acute care experience.
