Patient Care Technician
IMCU, 3 Surgical Step Down
36 hours per week, Permanent Nights, Every Other Weekend
BMC's Surgical Step Down unit is a 38-bed unit providing care for intermediate-level surgical patients. The patient population includes post-operative and surgical specialty patients, such as trauma, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, transplant, and cardiothoracic surgery.
As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, you will provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and supported by a dedicated nursing organization, you will participate in delivering care to our patients and their families, working cooperatively with all healthcare team members to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
