Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a patient care assistant to provide routine care under nurse direction. You will assist with ambulation, hygiene, meal service, and charting, supporting a compassionate multidisciplinary team.

Must be able to work full-time, 36 hours weekly, including every third weekend and holiday. CNA preferred; HS diploma or GED required; sign-on bonus may be available; PTO from day one and retirement plan offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.

Responsabilités

• Provides safe direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, feeding, and assisting with meals.
• Responds to patient call lights, helps with transfers and positioning as directed.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, and assists with messages and deliveries.
• Assists with vitals, intake/output, specimens, and coordination of appointments.
• Prepares requisitions and coordinates services with other departments.
• Maintains orderly patient rooms and handles routine charting and forms.
