Department: Surgical Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit
Schedule: 24 Hours (Days, E/O Weekend)
ABOUT THE Critical Care/Surgical Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER:
The surgical/neuro science intensive care unit (SNICU) is a 28 bed unit that provides post-operative care to BMC's most complex patients. Patient types include trauma, neurology, cardiac surgical, vascular surgery and general surgery.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our Patient Care Technicians provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families. You will also work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
