Job summary

Northwell Health's Sharon Hospital seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician to provide basic patient care under licensed staff. The role requires a high school diploma, BLS, and at least 1 year of direct patient care experience (CNA, PCT, or HHA).

You will assist with activities, document data, ensure patient safety and comfort, and participate in team rounds. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates with PCT experience outside Nuvance Health Network.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent essential.
• BLS certification required by end of orientation.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care experience (CNA, PCT, HHA).

Responsibilities

• Provides physical care to assigned patients and performs technical skills such as point of care testing.
• Implements nursing orders promptly and with understanding of purpose.
• Enters data into the computer system and communicates observations to the nurse in charge.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort and supports age-appropriate care.
• Attends staff meetings and maintains competency for BLS.
