Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Louisiana CNA certification.
• BLS from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Strong computer and Windows skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with plan of care as delegated by staff nurse.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient care area.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care.
• Communicates care needs with patients, families and staff.
• Completes documentation of tasks.
• Maintains professional certification and knowledge.
• Adapts communication and care to patient population.
• Other duties as required.
