Job summary

Minimum education includes a high school diploma; PCT II may require an associate/bachelor or related healthcare experience or enrollment in nursing school, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• PCT I requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• PCT II requires a HS diploma/GED and one of the listed requirements.
• BLS certification within 2 weeks of hire and maintenance thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Performs multi-skilled activities to support decentralized patient-centered care.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports to the Nurse Manager.
• Participates in the care team to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate or Bachelor's degree

1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS

1 year of experience in a healthcare facility

Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals

Active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution

Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification
