Job summary

Tower Health in Pottstown is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. You will perform routine direct care and assist with daily living activities to promote safety and comfort.

The role includes phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, patient observation, and reporting changes to the RN. A high school diploma or GED and BLS are required; prior direct patient care is preferred. Tuition assistance available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care following policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Observe patients and report changes to the registered nurse.
• Perform phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, changings, light housekeeping, and vitals.
