Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley is looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist nursing staff with patient care activities and supportive services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification; 2–3 years of experience in an acute or rehab setting is preferred. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; BLS certification required.
• Experience: 2–3 years in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care tasks under supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
