PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to assist with routine patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will help with comfort, safety, and basic activities of daily living in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehab hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
• Performs patient care activities under supervision; does not administer medications.

• Perform patient care activities under supervision and patient comfort measures.
• Follow hospital policies and ensure safety and documentation as needed.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
