Qualifications

  • High school diploma OR GED equivalent.
  • Completion of nursing assistant course.
  • OR currently enrolled in an approved RN, LPN, or EMT program with completion of nursing fundamentals course or equivalent.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support with basic clinical tasks within your scope of practice, including vital signs, blood pressure checks, specimen collection, and accu-checks.
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and therapeutic environment by keeping the unit organized, conducting regular safety and environmental rounds, and accurately documenting observations.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living while using effective, therapeutic communication to encourage healthy routines, confidence, and overall well-being.
  • Encourage and assist patients in participating in therapeutic groups and daily activities, helping create a structured and positive experience throughout their stay.
  • Respond calmly and confidently in challenging situations by using crisis management and de-escalation techniques under the guidance of licensed staff.

As a Patient Care Technician, you’ll play a hands‑on role supporting patients during some of their most important moments of care. You’ll provide attentive, compassionate assistance with daily needs, help ensure patient safety and comfort, and build positive, trust‑based connections along the way. From observing and reporting changes in patient condition to supporting the care team with day‑to‑day tasks, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative environment focused on quality care, respect, and positive patient experiences.
