Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

Responsibilities

• Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties including assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output, assist with range of motion, and draw blood.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or current enrollment in nursing school
