Patient Care Technician

_Texas Health Flower Mound_ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team.

Work Details
  • Location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028
  • Hours: Full Time, 36 hours/week, Days 7am-7pm
Department Highlights

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as a PCT
  • Highly preferred: At least 6 months of experience in acute inpatient care
  • Training/Certification:
    • PCT Training Program (TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college or THR approved)
    • EMT (Military medical training equivalent to EMT-B)
    • Nursing student with fundamentals completed or foreign nurse degree
    • Applicable experience in lieu of certification
    • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), required before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
Responsibilities
  • Aid patients according to care plans
  • Collect and report patient data
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
  • Support patient activities of daily living, considering patient and family preferences
  • Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently
