Description

Schedule: 7am - 7:30pm / Full Time / 36 Hours per week

Candidate works every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Salary range: $15.75 - $24.96 per hour

We're seeking a Patient Care Technician for Emory University Hospital responsible for providing quality patient care, ensuring safety, and supporting clinical procedures.

Responsibilities include:
  • Performing patient care and observation duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN, including cleaning patient rooms, operating clinical equipment, assisting in emergencies, collecting and transporting specimens, and completing forms.
  • Maintaining hospital and unit-specific competencies.
  • Assisting in emergency situations as directed by RN/LPN.
  • Providing hygiene, comfort, and rest measures.
  • Following infection control, safety standards, and precautions.
  • Using medical devices such as bag-valve-mask, stockings, oxygen, suction equipment, spirometers, emergency carts, and glucose monitors.
  • Operating medical equipment including beds, wheelchairs, BP monitors, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, pulse oximeters, and computers.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must meet one of the following:
  • One year of direct patient care experience,
  • Completion of a nursing assistant training course,
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through Georgia, OR
  • Current enrollment in a nursing program with two clinical rotations completed.
