Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to assist staff under the direction of an RN. You will maintain and update patient records and greet patients and visitors with a friendly, welcoming approach.

The role requires attendance at the RSF PCT Training Program upon hire, current CNA certification (or CMA possible) and strong clerical and medical terminology skills; hours are evenings/nights PRN with non-benefited status.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED; complete Fundamentals of Nursing or Nursing Assistant Program.
• Current CNA certification preferred; HS diploma not required.
• Experience as patient care technician in acute care or direct patient care in an assisted living facility.
• RSF PCT Training Program to be completed upon hire.
• Possession of CMA certification with RSF PCT Training Program upon hire.

• Assist staff by performing clerical and patient care duties under RN direction.
• Maintain and update patient records in a timely, orderly manner.
• Greet customers upon arrival to unit with an enthusiastic, friendly approach.
