Join to apply for the Patient Care Technician (PCT), Day Shift, ICU role at Adventist HealthCare.

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Intensive Care Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Patient Care Technician, you will:

  1. Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  2. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
  3. Participate in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives.
  4. Commit to personal, professional development to adapt effectively to ongoing change.
  5. Present a positive and professional image to represent nursing and the organization.

Care Delivery:

  1. Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  2. Receive report from the Registered Nurse.
  3. Ensure a culture of safety.
  4. Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
  5. Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Successful completion of a CNA or first-year Nursing School Program and CNA exam required.
  • Maryland CNA License required.
  • Active BLS certification required.
  • Effective command of English (spoken and written).
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements (lifting, bending, turning).
  • Experience in acute care preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.

Work Schedule: 7am - 7pm, 36 hours/week.

Pay Range: $18.31 - $24.90.

This position is classified as: Non-Exempt under FLSA.
