Work Details
  • Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America)
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24
  • Salary Range: $16.00 - $23.00
  • Sign-on Bonus: Available for eligible units

Department Details

Shifts are as follows:

  • Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Shift times: 7am-3pm
Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as a caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The PCT provides patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Job Responsibilities
  • Record vital signs and other basic health information.
  • Administer basic healthcare and medical treatments.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and emotional support.
  • Clean patient living areas and treatment rooms.
  • Collect non-invasive biological specimens.
  • Prepare treatment areas and medical equipment, dispose of biomedical waste according to standards.
  • Perform clerical duties related to scheduling and documentation.
  • Maintain strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Provide one-on-one care to patients when necessary for safety.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and equipment preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications.
  • In North Dakota, non-CNA employees must be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment.
