Job Description

  • Department: Fremont 3 - Med/Surg
  • Schedule: Full-time days, three 12-hour shifts per week (0645 - 1915), every 6th weekend, every other holiday
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Elizabeth
  • Location: Appleton, WI

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned areas.
  • Aid with patient entry and exit.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Report physical, mental, or emotional condition changes to nursing staff.
  • Document necessary records accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification: BLS Provider (within 30 days of hire) from AHA or Red Cross; Nurse Aide credential from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry (prior to hire); CNA credential with eligibility to work in a hospital setting.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience. Licenses/certifications may substitute for education.
Additional Preferences
  • At least 6 months CNA/Caregiver experience preferred.
