Description

Schedule: 7pm - 7:30am / Full Time / 36 Hours per week

Work Schedule: Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Salary Range: $15.75 - $24.96

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician for Emory University Hospital responsible for providing quality patient care and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care and observation duties under the supervision of an RN or LPN, including cleaning patient rooms, operating clinical equipment, assisting in emergencies, helping with procedures, collecting and transporting specimens, and completing forms.
• Maintain hospital and unit-specific competencies.
• Assist in emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Ensure hygiene, comfort, and rest measures are provided.
• Follow infection control and safety standards to maintain a clean environment.
• Assist with equipment such as bag-valve-mask, anti-embolism stockings, oxygen, suction devices, spirometers, emergency carts, and glucose monitors.
• Operate equipment like beds, wheelchairs, BP monitors, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, pulse oximeters, and computers.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification
• One year of patient care experience, or completion of a nursing assistant training course, or CNA license in Georgia, or enrollment in a nursing program with clinical rotations completed
