Position Summary: Assists in the care of patients by providing routine, non-professional nursing care utilizing advanced medical and surgical skills typically beyond the Nursing Assistant level. Takes patients' vital signs, observes and communicates changes in patient conditions. Requires CNA certification.

Qualifications
  • Equivalent to a High School diploma or GED
  • Maryland certification in good standing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Alternative training: Completion of first clinical year of NLN-approved nursing program, graduate of an approved RN or LPN program, or EMT-B or Armed Forces Corpsman.
  • Basic Life Support - Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology
