We Are Hiring
  • Department: Regional Resource Float Pool
  • Schedule: Currently PRN with a commitment level of part-time or full-time, nights. No benefits. Currently, the greatest need is full-time nights.
  • Hospital: St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and surrounding regional Ascension St. Vincent area hospitals.
  • Location: Indiana

Our Ascension Float Pool supplements staffing throughout the regional network of hospitals based on need. You will have the opportunity to experience diverse practice environments and explore different facilities. The premium pay range is based on the Option-Hours chosen. Holiday and weekend requirements will vary based on the commitment level.

What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.
  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences

Two years of current Patient Care Tech (PCT) acute care experience is highly preferred. Currently, night full-time commitment level positions are our greatest need.

This position is a great fit for an individual with two current consecutive years of PCT experience. If you love to work in a variety of departments and are currently working as a PCT, this could be a great fit for you!
