48 Bed unit

Nurse / Patient Ratio 1:4 days / nights

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) provide care to a highly acute population of cardiac progressive patients in a fast-paced environment. As a team member, you will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge in a specialized, rewarding, and mentoring environment. Hospital experience in patient care support is preferred.

+ Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

+ Pacemaker/Defibrillator placement

+ STEMI

+ Post cath

+ Heart Arrhythmias

+ Pre-surgical (VAD, transplant, CABG, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
  • Assist with movement and positioning of patients.
  • Help patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff and document accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and medical equipment.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience if applicable.
